Feb. 24th, 2005 12:25 pmEverybody keeps wondering how Hurley's batteries lasted as long as they did. Dude, am I the only person who understands the need to bring an absurd amount of batteries with them everywhere? Granted, that's only if I'm currently using a player that needs batteries (the only reason I'm not carrying around three extra Zen batteries at all times right now is because those suckers are seventy bucks a pop), but still, I listen to my player as much if not more than Hurley and on a long trip, I pack an incredible amount of AAs. And let's not even get into my reaction when I went to FYE and saw they had packs of 48 AAs for fifteen bucks. *swoon* MINE.
So, yeah. I think that's why I'm the only person who's not surprised it took this long for his batteries to die. Hee. :)
Snowing here. ACK. Damn it, Mother Nature, can't you do this crap this weekend when I'm not going anywhere? *shakes fist at sky*
Also, last night, I separated my possible Oscar-marathon movies from all of my other movies. There's a good forty or so piled up in front of my DVD stands. Oh, yeah, I'm prepared for Sunday. All I need now is Smirnoff and junk food, and I've got myself a good, old-fashioned Oscar Day Movie Marathon. *g* (Oh, and this morning, I watched a clip of Adrien Brody winning his Oscar and kissing Halle Berry. *snerk* That made me happy.)
EDIT: An article that sums up my problems with the Best Song category. I especially agree with that one bit about "Belleville Rendez-Vous" from Triplets of Belleville, because hell, I've still got that music file around somewhere.
