apocalypsos: (questionably lesbians)

I need someone to smack me upside the head. I've been telling my brain since I got home that I need to finish a chapter of Monsters before bed, and meanwhile, all it wants to do is move on to the next chunk of Deadly Harvest. NO. Monsters is a priority, making fun of Geraint Wyn Davies's ANGSTANDWOE facehugger isn't. *clones self, has clone smack me in the head*

In other news, I think I've realized that every time I have an icon of a team, they get Philiminated. So, let's see -- I have Questionably Lesbians, now Questionably Kaput Lesbians, and one of Lynn, and one of Rob. So, just wait, because they'll be gone any minute now. It's the same thing as last season when I had Lena and Kristy and Don and MJ.

As for Rob, you know why I'm amused at his antics instead of pissed off? Because I honestly don't think Rob and Amber are going to win. I can see it now. They're going to get to a critical point and either get Yielded or get screwed over by one of the other teams. Or, say, have a train cut between them and the other team racing for first at the end and lose. *coughcoughmissKrisandJonIdocoughcough* Or more likely, one of the other teams will smother them in their sleep during a Pit Stop. Heh. They'd film that, right?

EDIT: My Zen just played the TAR theme song. Oh, that's just a vicious taunt! *glares at Zen*

But if you had a clone, couldn't you do both?

Well, I don't know. I suppose I should be more upset about some of Rob's less-than-fair antics, but I'm not, and I won't be in the end, should they win. Like someone else said in my journal, this race really is not solely about physical prowess, or even mental sharpness... it's about a combination of those things, and plain old luck. So, a team is required to use all their talents, physical and mental, to take advantage of whatever luck comes their way, and that's what Rob & Amber do. And certainly, I think Rob's ability to come at a problem in new and devious ways, and his unbelievable and apparently irresistable charm, are some of their team's best skills. You have to admit, choosing to simply walk away from the challenge was a risk, though could have still worked to their advantage... but as even Phil pointed out, Rob managed to then get other teams to sit still, ensuring that Rob & Amber wouldn't get eliminated, and I don't think anyone else could have done that. That power of persuasion is truly his strongest skill, and assuming someone else doesn't get the chance to yeild them - big assumption - I really do think he might snake his way to the end.
