I am just ... not in a good mood today.

I'm not pissed off, or sad, or tired or whatever. I'm just ... meh. And trying to find an upside is getting really difficult. Maybe I lost my optimism on the bus or something. Then again, it's Monday, so not being all shiny and happy just means I fit in with everybody else.

Speaking of the bus, while I was riding to work today, the Time Warp came on my Zen, and out of boredom, I started counting how many dances I actually know. Apparently, I can't dance very well freestyle, but give me something with actual dance moves and I can handle it.

In any event, I'm thinking of writing an essay in defense of Shannon. I'm sick of being one of the few people who actually likes the woman, for crying out loud. I mean, not like I'd hang out with her in real life or anything, but that's kind of the point. *shrugs* I'll save it for later, though, because I'm just not up for climbing a soapbox right now.

Oh! lil1pinay! *waves* Any idea what's up with the concert this weekend? :)

You're not the only one - I don't *like* her like her, but I like her as a character. Yes, she's a whiney brat, and I'd probably never speak to her in real life, but I think as a character she's good for the story.

I'll get up on that there soapbox with you... which is amusing because, oh, Boone-on-a-Locke-induced-drug-trip ago, I was screaming for her head. But I am oh-so-reluctantly coming to the realization that she is a lot more complex and interesting -- and sympathetic -- than I originally realized.

Part of it is that she and her type were the bane of my childhood. Curse those excellent-character-writing Lost writers for making me confront my childhood demons!

(I'm even contemplating Shannon/Sayid smut. Lady help me!)

Hey! Right, the concert. I'll probably be going up to campus sometime around 3 or 4. Doors open at 7, concert's at 8. From what I was told, they'll be giving wristbands to the first 500 or so people who line up, and they get to be on the floor, so I'd like to try for that. As far as I know, though, the concert's not even sold out. =\

I can pick you up from the CP Metro station, if you'd like, or you can take the shuttle from the station to the Student Union stop on campus, and I can meet you there. Whichever is easier for you. Do you want my cell number just in case?
