My parents just called, mostly because my grandparents came up to visit this weekend and they wanted to talk to me and see how I was doing. Grandma: still a wee bit clueless. Grandpa: Still a wee bit awesome.

Also, now my parents are all spastic about wanting to visit during the Alexandria Waterfront Festival. I imagine the word "Festival" has a lot to do with it, since my mother's pretty adamant about not doing anything in anyplace including the words "Museum," "Fort," or "Landmark."

Oh, and guess what? My parents received a letter for me regarding my tenth high school graduation party, which coincidentally will be held the same week I plan on going home this year. It's not like anybody I went to high school with turned out to be a psychotic fuckwit asshole, but still. Now I feel weird. And also, what I believe is the appropriate amount of lonely and unaccomplished. Go, me. :)

EDIT: I just went down to the 7-11 and got a random compliment on The Skirt. The Skirt was therefore pleased, and did not smite the family of the woman complimenting it. And thus, was its generosity and use of its powers for good displayed to the world. :)

I haven't heard anything about my 10th reunion yet... but I'm pretty sure I won't be attending.

I feel you on the "lonely and unaccomplished" thing...

The only reason I feel like attending is because the people I wanted to see at my fifth didn't show. (And okay, maybe a little because all of the hot guys I graduated with and all of the halway decent-looking guys who turned out hot were just greeting everybody with great big hugs. Ah, inside, I'm still a 16-year-old geek. :))
