Well, let's see. I need to call my mother to discuss moving back (which I'll probably end up doing the weekend before my birthday in two and a half months), I need to get rid of anything non-essential that's not coming back, I need to figure out how I'm getting all of this stuff back home (not difficult -- I think I had more stuff moving back and forth from college), I need to see about working overtime for the extra cash and inform my boss I won't be around much longer, I need to start packing stuff, and I should probably start with the DVDs, all five billion of them.

But before I start behaving like a responsible adult ...







Yes, my mother went to visit the new baby again. He's not coming home until the middle of August, but like she'd give up the opportunity to photograph all those babies. ;)

Kittens! Eee!

It's terribly ironic, actually, that you're moving back to PA; one of my friends who I suspect you'd get along with, in a "Their snark shall come together and DESTROY THE EARTH!" kind of way, just moved to DC. (blairhippo) For extra-special bonus irony points, he was also one of the best critiquers in WorD (http://word.pghfree.net/), wherein you could get your novel merely edited but polished, if you but lived around here. (I've kind of lamented you don't several times; with your sense of humor I think the group would have had fun doing it.) But alas, when a wee bit of WorD breaks free and heads your way... you head the other way. See? Irony points.

Ideally this should probably be concluded with some sort of deep zen thought, but I'm not having a zen sort of day, which means there's only one way to do it.
