So, another dinner at my parents's house. Beforehand, we watched the copy of Citizen X they borrowed from me, which they mostly remember for the line, "Where did you get these abrasions on the head of your penis?" (This is my gene pool. *shrugs*) So the doctor says the line in this Russian accent that makes "head" sound like "hat", which led to hysterical laughter on my mom and dad's part and to this:

Mom: "Well, it kind of looks like a hat. Like a helmet!"
Dad: "Like Spaceballs!"
Me: *dies a little bit inside*

Also, you know what's great? Raiding my parents's attic looking for a purse my mother's not using anymore and finding a pair of really nice barely-worn blue Sketchers when I desperately needed a new pair of sneakers for work. Yay!

Cool icon.

We just got the SotD DVD and have been listening to the really cool commentaries. My favourite so far is the one with Bill Nighy and Penelope Wilton.

And I found out from the trivia track that, though most of it is filmed in north London, the "Winchester" is just half a mile from me here in New Cross Gate!

Now I need an icon of me as a zombie in front of it.
