Jan. 21st, 2006 08:43 pmThat Mensa test that's been going around -- I got to 26 of them right before I started trying to look up answers I really should have known already. Not because I'm some sort of mega-genius or anything, but because I've done that test at least a dozen times in puzzle magazines since I was a kid -- maybe not that exact same test, but I did recognize nearly all of them -- not to mention I think I remember doing one in gifted classes when I was a kid. (For the record, I was missing 10, 26, 30, and 31.)
I've spent all day trying to put a dent in my list of fanfics I've got to write, right up until I stopped in mid-sentence and said, "You know, what I could really stand to write is some smut." So now I'm trying to get in the right frame of mind for writing porn. Urgh. I know there's sex music on this mp3 player somewhere.
EDIT: Some answers for that Mensa test in the comments, so avoid if you still want to do the test.

Date: 2006-01-22 02:46 am (UTC)Did some of those have something to do with measurements? I had a hard time with a couple and I'm wondering if I just wasnt' familiar with what they were referencing.

Date: 2006-01-22 02:50 am (UTC)I don't think there were that many measurements on there, other than time. Which ones were you having trouble with?

Date: 2006-01-22 03:53 am (UTC)Well I never would have gotten THAT. Nor 17. I should have gotten the others though. I can see why people would have issues with that test being culturally biased though. I remember doing one like it as a test for gifted once though, but it was more...general.

Date: 2006-01-22 04:21 am (UTC)Because I remembered that these things ALWAYS had a cricket question that stumped us when I did them in school.
I did have to check on wikipedia for the right terminology though. An over?? *shakes head*
