So I was checking Wikipedia because I'm watching the Criminal Intent marathon on USA and I wanted to check something. And I spoiled myself for the season finale they're running tonight at nine. (Not that I care about being spoiled.)

Nicole Wallace is Goren's SISTER?!

Bwahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. If that's true, that's awesome. It's been done before, but STILL. STILL.

And I'm going to be at freaking work! :(

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! DUDE. I was kinda hoping that when I saw the promos (the picture on the grave and then the shot to that ducked blonde head of hair) but I wasn't sure.

I'm thinking same dad, different moms, but I almost wouldn't put it past them to make her, like, a full sister put up for adoption or something. Twist within a twist.

Just when I thought I couldn't love that relationship anymore. I never remember how much I love it when people ask what fictional relationships, but when I think about the way the two of them spark off one another I get a big happy. And not even in a 'cesty way! \o/

I love it so much, man. You're right, they just spark off each other so well.

And it really shouldn't work as well as it does. I mean, they're these two borderline Mary-Sue characters, so we should be screaming and yelling at them but instead they manage to make it work.

And, hmog, I was totally just thinking about the three CI fics I've ever seen and how they're now all accidental!incest.

Wikipedia was SO FUCKING WRONG. There was nothing about Nicole being his sister in it. Hell, she was only just barely in it--and you'd think I'd learn from the misleading commercials but apparently I don't.

Remember John Glover's character? Declan? The one whose daughter framed him for the murders before? Goren's old mentor? He teamed up with Nicole to kill Goren's brother, fake an attack on Declan himself, and then Declan CUT HER HEART OUT AND MAILED IT TO HIM. Well, actually, if you wanna get technical Declan killed her before faking his own attack, but if we go by order of discovery he was attacked first.

And apparently Brady, that serial killer who knew Goren's mom? Totally his biological father.

Declan almost succeeds in framing Goren for his brother and Nicole's murders but seeing as how he's batshit he doesn't really give a fuck if he goes away forever and a month because he did this all, "for you, Bobby. So you can have a clean slate. We were holding you back, you needed to get back in the game again."

We see her onscreen for, like, a combined total of two minutes--never with Goren in the same scene, and then they fucking KILL HER.

It was! I spent the whole show bouncing back and for between, "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME," and "MOG, WTF? WHY IS SHE DEAD? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?"

YES! I mean, I get that the writers wanted to unload some of the baggage they had thrown on him, which is probably why they went ahead and killed off his brother, but Nicole was just a waste. Every time she showed up it was AWESOME.

At least Donny's still alive, if MIA. I mean, he's no Nicole but he's pretty cool.

Yes, but it couldn't possibly stay awesome forever. I assume they decided it was best to end it before it had a chance to go downhill.
