So I took a nice, long break from writing to go into DC to the folk festival on the Mall (which was really interesting and had decent seafood), then ducked into the American History Museum and pickd up something I saw last week that I had to get -- a Jerry Garcia doll! For only fifteen bucks! I had to buy the thing, it was a moral imperative. And he is absolutely not sitting on my lap right now. Seriously. Oh, don't look at me like that.

I also picked up a Scott Joplin CD and a CD of TV theme songs. Add those to the Grateful Dead CD and the Bhangra stuff, and my taste in music is proven to be just plain fucked up.

And because I've been killing time on Retrocrush ...

I found a site with a whole bunch of MP3s of TV theme songs, downloaded a whole bunch of ones I knew, then put them in my player on shuffle. I don't think I've laughed this hard in ages. (Hee! 21 Jump Street! *is dead*)

I'd just like to say that if anything makes me feel better, it's reading that I'm not the only one who's waited until the last minute to finish their xmmficathon story due to terminal writer's block.

SECOND COUSIN, TWICE REMOVED OF EDIT: Well, I just killed the last of the exposures in my disposable digital camera taking pictures of myself and stuff in my room just so that I could finish it off. I bought it to take pictures of Bryan's graduation and took maybe five pictures. So if they don't turn out to be utter shit, as most photos of me tend to turn out, I might actually post them. (But don't hold your breath. I'm not unfortunate-looking, but try telling cameras that. Urgh.)
