Halle Berry only agreed to star in the second X-Men sequel after studio bosses agreed to give her a bigger role in the forthcoming movie. The Oscar-winner was reluctant to reprise her role as Storm in X-Men 3 - but producer Lauren Shuler convinced her by boosting her character's involvement. Schuler says, "I love working with her. We would only write a huge role for her, so she's right in that respect. We would make sure that would happen." Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and Famke Janssen are also expected to reprise their roles in film, set to begin shooting next year.

Ugh. I suppose pointing out to the producers that they could have spent that extra time and money on Gambit or Colossus or Beast and made the audience infinitely happier would just go right over their heads.

EDIT: You know how they have those DVD players that'll just edit out objectionable material for children? They should have DVD players that do that for adult movie lovers. So if I want to push a button and replace Halle Berry with a better Storm or force Kevin Costner to speak with an English accent or entirely negate Sylvester Stallone from existence, I have that option.

I heard a rumor a while back that Berry was whining so much about screen time they were thinking about making a Storm Movie. That just makes me hurt inside.

Well, they already gave her a Catwoman movie, and look how that's turning out. :)

I wasn't going to see that anyway. Saw some pictures the other day, I think the costuming is among the worst I've ever seen. Definitely not going to see that.

When I went to the movies to see Van Helsing, they played the newest trailer, complete with a nice full-body shot of the crappy costume, before the movie. I note the fact that the entire audience laughed derisively at the entire trailer and especially at the costume with interest, as I was starting to think the viewing public had no taste. Apparently, they have just enough taste not to watch Catwoman.

...you're trying to give me nightmares. And make me lose lunch.

And make me cry.

You've succeeded.

Even if it's true, it's mean to tell people like me who harbor hope she'll "leave now and NEVER COME BACK!"

I'm sorry, it is a horrible thing to contemplate. If it makes you feel any better I just double checked and I can't even find where I saw that the first time, let alone anything to corroborate it.

I think it's a wonderful idea. In fact, she should go do that instead of stooping so low as to appear in a lowly ensemble film like X3. ;)
