Halle Berry only agreed to star in the second X-Men sequel after studio bosses agreed to give her a bigger role in the forthcoming movie. The Oscar-winner was reluctant to reprise her role as Storm in X-Men 3 - but producer Lauren Shuler convinced her by boosting her character's involvement. Schuler says, "I love working with her. We would only write a huge role for her, so she's right in that respect. We would make sure that would happen." Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and Famke Janssen are also expected to reprise their roles in film, set to begin shooting next year.

Ugh. I suppose pointing out to the producers that they could have spent that extra time and money on Gambit or Colossus or Beast and made the audience infinitely happier would just go right over their heads.

EDIT: You know how they have those DVD players that'll just edit out objectionable material for children? They should have DVD players that do that for adult movie lovers. So if I want to push a button and replace Halle Berry with a better Storm or force Kevin Costner to speak with an English accent or entirely negate Sylvester Stallone from existence, I have that option.

This makes me very, very sad. I mean, Storm bores me in the comics, and Halle Berry actively irritates me in real life. That comes down to a big sack of suck, and why the hell don't they just kill her? Mr Singer's been commenting on the unwieldiness of the cast, anyway.

Luckily, if you listen to the commentaries, it's clear that he's either hot for or actually sleeping with Jimmy Marsden (either that, or slash is corrupting my brain. Again), so his role should be more or less assured.

Gambit is another character who bores me. On the other hand, so does Wolverine in the comics, and I love Hugh Jackman's version.

Personally, I want a proper role for Jubilee, a British Psylocke (possibly without the codename; just have a plot involving international espionage, and a British secret agent, pilot and supermodel named Elisabeth Braddock. Hell, I'd even accept their making her a mutant), and Beast. Lots of Beast, with or without fur.

Also, they should leave the Brotherhood out of the third movie; the X-Men deserve some variety in their villains, and it would give time for Pyro to train up for the big battle at the end of part four.

I agree. We need some psylocke and some of the cool british characters. I also concur that we don't need the Brotherhood in X3. They need a rest, give us some new villians. We Have yet to see a single sentinel.
They will never ever let the plotline go that way, but I really want to see and Excalibur movie. That would be a dream come true.
