Well, for the Buffyverse, I figured a good way to divvy it up a bit might be for people to call dibs by location. You couldn't call the whole 'verse, but you could call L.A. or Italy or whatever. Of course, HP is going to be harder. Maybe three characters only from the larger fandoms like that ...

Location works for Buffy. Smallville has a large fan base and therefore high demand, but the character base is much smaller. I think one person might handle it, unless circumstance split the 'verse into two: for example, Lex and Clark run off to Metropolis, Chloe goes to Gotham, Lana goes to France, etc. Same thing goes for Alias: small group, large fan base, potential for scattering. HP is a nightmare, because you have a large cast, large demand by writers, and a small location.

I wonder how we should handle comic 'verses. There are all sorts of AUs and versions of characters. Maybe just go by popular demand? Decide as the fandoms are brought in?
