Dec. 15th, 2004 03:50 pmI just went to check on something with my supervisor and found out that everybody's been wrong for the past three months when I've asked and we really don't have Christmas Eve off.
First of all ... the hell?!
Second of all ... it's really nice that the straight answer I've been getting from supervisors for the past three months has been wrong.
Third of all ... the HELL?!

Date: 2004-12-15 02:16 pm (UTC)I've worked a lot of jobs where you have to "pay your dues" and work holidays at the beginning. I'm lucky where I am now, because I just stated from day one, I do not work Xmas eve. But, as it turns out, New Years Eve is the big problem, so the fact that I don't care and will work it, makes me popular.
It doesn't seem right. I think employers should let people know by the beginning of November what the holiday schedual is, and let people make plans or arrangements accordingly.
